The Paternity Testing Process:
Step 1: Give us a call at 877-DNA-1362. Or, schedule your appointment online by selecting your state on the right.
Step 2: The two parties that are required for testing are the alleged father and child. We routinely use the painless buccal (cheek) swab to collect samples.
Step 3: Once we have collected your samples they will be mailed overnight directly to our laboratory. DNA profiles will now be created from these samples. The turnaround time for results is 3-5 business days.
Step 4: We will contact you immediately by phone with the results and Legal/Court Admissible documents will be mailed to the address you request at the collection appointment.
Pricing
We offer a very competitive rate for our court-admissible DNA paternity test. The total cost of the test is $420.00. This fee includes the costs associated with collecting your DNA samples at a location near you (draw fee), overnighting your samples to our lab (shipping) and testing the samples (dna test). This fee can be broken into two payments if necessary. As far as payment is concerned, we take money orders and all major credit/debit cards (VISA, M/C, Discover, Amex). You can either pay at your appointment, by telephone or even online!
Accuracy
Samples from each person are divided in two for Dual Process™. From this point on, two independent laboratory teams take the samples through the DNA testing process. The child’s DNA profile is compared with the alleged father’s, and statistical analysis is performed to determine the probability of paternity. A 0% probability of paternity represents an exclusion (the alleged father is not the biological father) and at least a 99.99% probability represents an inclusion in a standard trio (the alleged father is the biological father).
Accreditations
At Determigene we realize that DNA testing methods evolve at a rapid pace. To ensure top performance in all aspects of our testing services, we only utilize laboratories who participate in several voluntary accreditation programs. These programs verify the reliability of their equipment, the qualifications of laboratory staff, and the soundness of their testing methods and standard operating procedures.
